Fourth Night of 2016 Democratic National Convention Draws 30 Million Viewers

An estimated 30 million people tuned in to watch the final night of the 2016 Democratic National Convention on Thursday, July 28. Day four of the convention was carried live from Philadelphia, Penn., across 10 commercially-supported networks. The night featured Hillary Clinton formally accepting her nomination as the 2016 Democratic Presidential Candidate.

In terms of the social nature of the convention, 2.8 million Tweets were sent by 583,000 people in the U.S. about the fourth night of the “Democratic National Convention,” according to Nielsen Social. Twitter activity spiked at 11:18 p.m. ET, when 23,400 Tweets were sent in one minute during Hillary Clinton’s acceptance speech.
