3 minute read | February 2020

New York, NY – Feb. 6, 2020 – Nielsen Holdings plc (NYSE: NLSN) announced today that Eric Bosco will join the company as Chief Product Officer (CPO) for its Global Media division, effective Feb. 10, 2020.

As head of Nielsen Global Media’s product organization, Bosco will spearhead product strategy and execution and will be responsible for every element of the division’s product framework with emphasis on designing and creating scalable products to serve Nielsen’s clients and the media industry. A central part of Bosco’s role will be shepherding a unified product strategy that aligns with Nielsen’s unified technology and data framework.

With media buyers and sellers increasingly leaning into cross-platform strategies to reach and monetize audiences in new and opportunistic ways, Bosco’s deep knowledge in product leadership will be instrumental in Nielsen’s commitment to serve as the one media truth for the industry.

Most recently, Bosco served as VP, Product and Design for TripAdvisor Experiences, where he led a global product and design organization with teams in various locations across North America, Australia and Europe. Over the past 20 years, he has worked as General Manager of SmarterTravel, CEO and COO of ChoiceStream and as Head of Advertising Products of AOL.

“While the industry undergoes a transformation at the hands of massive technological change, so too is Nielsen Global Media, which is focused on continuing to be a best-in-class, product-led organization delivering solutions to clients that help them efficiently navigate a continually changing environment. Eric’s leadership, history, expertise and success in developing products will no doubt help Nielsen Global Media provide the industry with the products they need to address these challenges and capitalize on this unprecedented opportunity,” said Karthik Rao, leader of product, technology and operations for the Media division at Nielsen.

“I’m thrilled to be able to join Nielsen Global Media at an exciting and challenging time for the media ecosystem. As the industry’s provider of media truth, Nielsen is well positioned to harness technological change in a manner that will allow us to create and bring to market elegant products that will help clients and the industry discover, align on and execute successful media strategies,” said Bosco.

Bosco holds a master’s of science degree from Stanford University, and he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
