We’re proud to announce that Nielsen recently ranked No. 10 on Fortune Magazine’s list of the 25 Best Workplaces in New York, based on a survey of our associates. This is Nielsen’s latest recognition from Fortune Magazine, coming on the heels of designation as a best employer for diversity, millennials and professional services, as well as a best workplace in Chicago and Texas, over the last year.
A center for innovation, New York City is home to two Nielsen offices that bring together associates from a variety of functional areas. Nielsen’s downtown headquarters provides a bustling space for collaboration and employee development, surrounded by the likes of financial industry giants, as well as emerging startups. The new Nielsen Tech Hub, located in the Chelsea neighborhood, serves as a thriving center for Nielsen’s technology teams with access to the broader New York City technology and innovation community. With an open office set up and lots of informal gathering spaces, the Tech Hub invites associates to connect and innovate.
“Our associates look forward to coming to work every day and being in a collaborative space where they can innovate in service to our clients,” said Damian Garbaccio, EVP, Nielsen Marketing Cloud. “Our Chelsea location puts us in the center of New York’s tech ecosystem, which creates an exciting, fast-paced environment and offers abundant opportunities for external collaboration.”
The employee experience is front and center at Nielsen—and nowhere is this more apparent than in New York. Our employee resource groups, such as SABLE and PRIDE, provide a regular stream of opportunities for local associates to connect for professional development and social outings, while the Nielsen Cares team offers frequent chances for associates to make an impact through volunteering around New York City.
This Fortune award recognizes large companies in New York that earn high marks from employees for trust, friendliness and being all-around great places to work. Based on about 870 anonymous survey responses last year, 85% of Nielsen employees think their workplace in New York is great.
