Nielsen IBOPE’s television audience measurement (TAM) works with a household panel in 28 cities across México that represents 65% of the urban population. We have installed people meters to functional TVs in 2314 households that give us information about TV mexican viewing behavior.

Streaming measurement in Mexico
Identify streaming video behavior across devices through unique passive technology
Nielsen IBOPE’s streaming measurement includes 900 households probabilistically selected from the TAM panel through a stratified sampling among households with and without internet, based on the same control variables of the panel: SES, TV signal type, and presence or absence of children in the household. As a result, streaming measurement covers 28 cities and represents 18.2 million households in Mexico (approximately 58.4 million people), with an internet penetration of around 80% (aligned with Nielsen’s TAM panel, the establishment survey and official sources). The passive technology of our streaming meter provides key information about the consumption across devices (smart TVs, connected devices, video game consoles), screens (TVs, smartphones, tablets and computers) and platforms.
