Nielsen announces final speaker line-up for annual media and marketing industry event, Consumer 360® Pacific
SYDNEY: 20 JUNE, 2014 – The biggest names in Australian industries, including the Managing Director of one of the country’s largest retail groups, leading brands, agencies and publishers, are set to take to the stage at Nielsen’s annual thought leadership and industry event, Consumer 360® Pacific.
This year’s Consumer 360 theme globally is ‘Create Outcomes’. Nielsen’s Pacific Managing Director, Chris Percy, said he is thrilled with the speaker line-up and believes these industry leaders will generate invaluable insights, aligned with the conference theme.
“Consumers are changing, we consume media in evolving ways and the way we buy and what we buy is also changing,” said Percy. “In addition, the business of consumer insights is facing a paradigm shift due to new technology and media fragmentation. Australian leaders are uniting at Consumer 360 to debate and discuss where it’s all headed. In 2014, we are connecting our clients with industry trailblazers who have cracked these changes.”
This year’s Consumer 360 event brings together a host of industry leaders who have cracked the consumer code and embraced change to create exciting outcomes. Speakers like Ian McLeod, MD of Coles, Robbert Rietbroek from Kimberley-Clark, Phil Lynch from Johnson & Johnson, Megan Brownlow from PriceWaterhouseCoopers will be taking the stage along with Kellogg’s, Ford, OzTam and many more.
“Consumer 360 is a unique event that has the ability to put the head of a major retail banner or brand, on the same table as the head of a major media publisher or agency, and that’s where the true value lies,” commented Percy.
Nielsen’s Global Product Leader, Steve Hasker, will be flying in from the U.S. to take to the stage, alongside MEC Chief Strategy Officer, James Hier. The duo will be talking for the first time about Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings which will be officially launched in the Australia market at the event.
Nielsen announced it will be bringing Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings to the Australia market earlier this year. It is the first-ever measure of the total activity and reach of TV-related conversations on Twitter. Delegates will hear about the U.S. experience from Steve and the industry implications from James.
Consumer 360 Pacific takes place from July 30 to August 1, 2014 and is held at the Fairmount Resort, Blue Mountains. It’s attended by senior leaders from the retail, advertiser, agency, publisher and industry backgrounds.
